You will not hear or see me… but know that I am here
I am skilled in stealth, patience, and marksmanship
I believe in a code of honor, one empowered by skill and integrity
I rely on my team; just the same, they rely on me
I am skilled in reconnaissance and gathering Intel
Allowing my team to effectively and efficiently do their job
I am an Edmonton Scout/Sniper

The Edmonton Scout/Snipers were formed 3 August 2007 as a Scout/Sniper unit. Our mission was to provide skilled snipers and to bring together like-minded individuals. Upon doing so we expanded to include a RECON element. Our first Operation as a team was a huge success as we participated in a local MilSim OP Darkwater. We continued to train and eventually went to OP Nad 2.5 in Red Deer where we were instrumental in a lopsided win.

In 2009, things became a challenge as time and commitment within the team started to fall apart. Ideals of different personnel and their goals seemed to change and a brief but much needed break was taken. Since then behind the scenes ESS has started to grow again. We have adopted a new look and will continue our Operations as a small unit in the MilSim community. Our Operators will continue with the traditions that we envisioned from the beginning and look to make 2010 the year of the Scout/Sniper.

We are based loosely on the Marine Corps Scout/Snipers, however we have changed a lot of our uniform to include that of the U.S. Army. Our Unit uses a ranking system (Marine Corp Ranks) based on member performance and what the member commits to the team. We also have team awards and qualification courses that also help you progress through your MilSim Career. OP Mason Relic II will be the first deployment of the Scout/Sniper Unit as we prepare to deploy to Saskatchewan and will be our first mission out of Alberta.
